Yorkshire Wildlife Park's animals enjoy the years first snowfall

19th November 2024

The animals at award winning Yorkshire Wildlife Park were delighted by the year's first snowfall.

Cheetah cubs Kendi and Tafari experienced their first encounter with snow, playfully climbing and pouncing on a snowman built by park rangers, all under the watchful eye of their mother, Darcy.

Rare Amur Tiger Tschuna took a curious interest in her new frosty snowman companion, enjoying the chilly weather as she lounged in his reserve’s fresh snowfall.

Meanwhile, the park’s Polar Bears were perfectly at home in the wintery weather and embraced the cold snap with spirited play.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park, located on the outskirts of Doncaster, is at the forefront of efforts to save Polar Bears from extinction.

The resort offers visitors a unique walk-through experience coming almost face to face with some of the world’s most beautiful and at-risk species.
