The Maned Wolf may look similar to a Fox or a Wolf, however are closely related to neither! They have a thick red coat and distinctively long legs which help them to spot prey above tall grasses in their native habitat. Maned wolves are often solitary animals found across central South America and primarily eat a diet of small mammals, fruits and vegetables.

Where in the park?

Species
Bush dogs are found in Lowland Forests, wet savannah and river habitats living in social groups of up to 12 individuals. They are listed as Near Threatened on the IUCN Red List due to predation and habit loss.
Did you know?
Bush dogs have evolved partially webbed feet to help them swim better in river habitats and they have sharp claws that help them dig out prey.
