Spot the most endangered big cat in the world!
Amur leopards are on the brink of extinction, with the most recent estimations of around 75 individuals left in the wild, therefore classifying them as Critically Endangered. Amur Leopards in zoos and wildlife parks worldwide are playing a vital role in assisting with the critical reintroduction efforts of this species.

Species
Amur Leopard habitats consists of the temperate forests of the Russian Far East and Northern China. For camouflage in the snow, their coat is paler than other Leopard subspecies.
DID YOU KNOW?
During winter months the coat of an Amur Leopard will more than triple in length from 2cm to up to 7cm.

Breeding
Females first breed at 3-4 years of age. After a gestation period of around 12 weeks, cubs are born in litters of 1-4 individuals.
