Win a Wedding 2025 - Competition Terms & Conditions

ENTRIES AND ELIGIBILITY

1. The competition is open to UK residents aged 18 and over who are legally entitled to enter into a marriage or civil partnership. Entrants may not be already married or in a civil partnership, as the competition is not open for vow renewal ceremonies or celebrations. The competition is not open to employees of the Wild Life Group Limited TA Yorkshire Wildlife Park (including its subsidiaries), retail tenants and employees of the Yorkshire Hive (DN9 3QY), wedding fayre exhibitors or their immediate family members.
2. The competition is not open to entrants who have an existing wedding booking at Yorkshire Wildlife Park or in Hex Connect.
3. In order to enter the competition, you must complete the entry form and it must be submitted to https://www.yorkshirewildlifepark.com/explore/special-events/wedding-showcase/ by 11:59PM on 16 February 2025.
4. Entry forms and prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and have no cash value or equivalent.
5. Responsibility will not be accepted for entries lost, delayed, mislaid or damaged. Incomplete, damaged or illegible entries, or those entries that are not in accordance with these terms will be disqualified.
6. Only one entry is permitted per wedding couple. We shall reserve the right to disqualify any entry if, in our reasonable opinion, we believe that the entrant has submitted an excessive number of entries and or abused the terms of entry.
7. The wedding will be held in Hex Connect on 27 April 2025 from 2.30pm to 11pm (timings to be finalised with the winning couple). This date cannot be changed so if you are unavailable to get married on this date, please do not submit an entry.

 THE WINNER

8. Each competition application will be independently judged by two Senior key staff members of the company and they will score the content of the entry that they believe is the most deserving of the prize. These results will then be confidentially submitted to the Company’s Legal Director who will judicate, to collate all the scores and the winner with the highest score from all eligible entries will be announced at Wild Life Group office, Doncaster after the closing date of 11:59PM on 16 February 2025 and the winner will be announced by 20 February 2025 and will be contacted by phone as soon as possible thereafter.
9. If the winner:

• • cannot be contacted or successful contact is not made within 48 hours of the winner being announced on 20 February 2025;
  • fails to meet any of the eligibility requirements; or
  • is otherwise unable to comply with these terms and conditions (or the event terms and conditions), it may result in forfeiture of the prize. Wild Life Group Limited reserves the right to disqualify that entrant (without further liability to that entrant) and offer the prize to the next eligible runner up and thereafter until a winner is found.

THE PRIZE

10. The prize is a wedding breakfast afternoon tea for 22 people (including the happy couple) at Hex Connect at the Yorkshire Hive on Sunday 27 April 2025. The value of the prize at the time of writing is as set out below, (however this may be subject to change):

  • Room dressed for Wedding Breakfast (either Darwin or Attenborough in Hex Connect depending on wedding party size)
  • Bar in Hex Connect for the wedding guests – drinks to be charged at our normal guest bar prices
  • Contribution of up to £650 for the Doncaster City Council registrar
  • Red carpet on arrival to the ceremony.

UPGRADES

11. The following upgrades are available to the winning couple at an extra cost:

• • Additional wedding guests up to 60 more at a cost of £30.00 per person for the Afternoon Tea and Prosecco Toast
  • Upgrade from Afternoon Tea to BBQ at £7.50 per person
  • Add Canapes at £16.00 per person
  • Add a Drinks Package (arrival drink & ½ bottle house wine) £15.00 per person
  • Add an Evening Buffet £25.00 per person
  • Add Late Night Bacon Rolls £5.00 per person
  • Complimentary Standard King Room can be upgraded to a Suite for £50.00 or a Suite with a Balcony for £75.00

12. The prize may not be taken as cash and cannot be used for payment of third parties. Only one prize is available.
13. The winner may upgrade to a package with a value over the value of the prize, however the winner will be solely responsible for all costs over the prize value limit, as well as for all costs payable to third parties. With all payments being made in advance of the 27 April 2025.
14. If the package booked by the winner is less than the prize value, the winner will not be entitled to the remainder of the prize value in any form (cash or a cash equivalent).
15. Any additional costs and expenses incurred in planning, executing and attending the wedding will remain the responsibility of the winner.
16. The prize is non-transferable, and the winner must be either a bride or groom in the wedding party. There is no cash alternative. No purchase necessary.

USE OF YOUR DATA & PROMOTION

17. The winner agrees, and will procure the agreement of their bride, groom, or partner to participate in reasonable publicity including, but not limited to, publication of their names, details of their wedding, and photographs of the couple and/or their wedding to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park and the Yorkshire Hive website, social media sites and other marketing literature. It is likely that other PR, media (third parties) will want to publish/post your story/images and you may be interviewed, we would want to manage all content published in this manner is given prior consent by Wild Life Group’s marketing department/PR agent.
18. By entering the competition, you acknowledge that you are providing personal data to Wild Life Group Limited. Wild Life Group Limited will use this data to contact you about future offers and promotions, or news. All electronic communications will include details of how to opt out of future communications. If you wish to opt out of all marketing communications, please tell us in an email to your Event Manager. Please include your full name and email address.
19. Wild Life Group Limited will never sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required to do so by law.

LEGAL

20. Entry to the competition constitutes the entrant’s acceptance of these terms and conditions and their agreement to be bound by them. If these terms and conditions are not accepted in full, then entrants should not enter this competition. Wild Life Group Limited reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
21. If there is any dispute about an entry or any other aspect of the competition, this will be decided by Wild Life Group Limited. Wild Life Group Limited’s’ decisions in relation to this competition (whether or not covered by these terms and conditions) shall, once made, be final and binding. No further correspondence will be entered into.
