Giant Anteaters
Giant Anteaters are solitary animals found in a variety of habitats in South America from grasslands to rainforests.
They are one of the most unusual mammals, with a long snout and long agile tongue. They also boast large powerful claws which allow them to dig deep into ant and termite nests.
Giant Anteaters are insectivores and can eat up to 30,000 insects per day!
Generally active during nighttime and early morning, Giant Anteaters are mostly nocturnal.
